Join us for a 40 hour creative writing course offered online zoom
Yoga nidra, often known as yogic sleep is a powerful and deeply relaxing form of guided meditation that is a wonderful tool for both yourself and your students.
This online training course will break down and examine the different aspects of Yoga Nidra through a range of writing and listening experiences. We will be exploring the theory..but more importantly, learning how to create an endless variety of scripts from a wide range of prompts and suggestions.
The course is spread over two weekends plus an absolute minimum of 15 hours of inspiring homework. You will be encouraged to make the most of this opportunity by maintaining a daily writing, reading and reflective practice for the duration of the course. By the end of the course you will have a basic understanding of the structure of yoga nidra, principle and function of different stages and the wonderful ability to tailor an authentic and safe delivery to suit your personal preferences.
The focus of this course is to build confidence in your ability to use your imagination and research skills to write your own nidra material so your delivery and teaching in inherently you.
NB there will be an expectation that you practice what you want to preach and this will involve a commitment to daily meditation practice in addition to other work.
Requirements: You should have experience of yoga nidra practice. You need to be a qualified 200 hr minimum teacher or trainee.
